Terms and Conditions

The following are the terms and conditions for the use of the website and the services provided by Silent Builds, including phone orders, purchases, and inquiries. By accessing this site and submitting any orders for products or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please refrain from using this site and submitting any orders.

The term “Customer” refers to you or the business entity for which you are placing an order. These terms and conditions, as well as the warranty policy, apply to all transactions conducted on the website and must be adhered to unless a written contract, signed by an officer of Silent Builds, is in place.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. The Customer acknowledges that Silent Builds is not responsible for any discrepancies or errors in product information or images displayed on the website. Silent Builds reserves the right to modify products and specifications and those listed on the website may not always be up to date. It is the Customer’s responsibility to verify the specifications of each product with the order. Silent Builds is only accountable for the products named on the invoice.


  1. The Customer agrees that any representations or promises made by Silent Builds’ sales representatives that go beyond these terms and conditions and the warranty policy are not valid unless confirmed in writing and signed by an officer of Silent Builds.

For multi-item purchases, each item will be treated independently and any defects, replacements, or cancellation of one item will not affect the entire purchase unless otherwise stated in the memo section of the order. Each item will be considered independently for warranty or refund purposes unless the customer has stated otherwise on the invoice.


  1. The Customer understands that shipping costs and expenses will not be refunded once the order has been shipped. The Customer is responsible for reviewing their email confirmation to ensure that all details such as shipping, billing, and items purchased are accurate.

In the event that an email confirmation is not received, the customer is advised to contact Silent Builds to confirm the status of their order. Submitting multiple orders may result in additional charges for restocking and shipping fees.


  1. Order cancellations may be made by phone with a sales representative or through the website before the order is processed. Cancellations will not be accepted by email or voice mail. Once an order has been cancelled, the status can be confirmed online. For orders that have already been charged, a 4.9% credit card processing cancellation fee will apply. For orders that have already been built in our facility but have not been shipped, there will be an additional 15% restocking fee which covers expenses for disassembling the system and re-stocking the hardware. Additionally, any components that were not listed on our website and were special ordered by the customer will incur a 20% restocking fee.


  1. The shipping fee includes material costs for boxes, transportation, etc. Unless the customer requests and agrees to shipping upgrades and upgrade fees, they will not be liable for additional shipping charges for purchases that Silent Builds chooses to ship in multiple packages. Shipping insurance is included with every FedEx and UPS shipment.

  1. The Customer understands that free shipping offered by Silent Builds will be shipped using a method chosen by Silent Builds and shipments may be dropped off to the customer directly without the use of a shipping courier.

Making Purchases

By purchasing products from Silent Builds, you consent to providing accurate, complete and current personal information, such as credit card or other payment details. You also agree to pay for all charges, taxes, shipping and handling fees for purchases made by authorized users on your account and payment method at the prices in effect at the time of purchase.

Where We Ship

We ship to any physical address that the shipper/courier can ship to within the continental United States. We may accommodate Customers who need to have an item shipped to an APO/FPO address or PO Box depending on the circumstances.

When we Ship

Orders may take up to 10 days to ship after being built on a standard basis. Delays may occur if the shipping address provided does not match what is on file with the credit card issuer. Some items shipped from fulfillment warehouses may require additional time. Orders with multiple items may be shipped from different warehouses and may be received on different days. We cannot guarantee the shipment date due to potential issues with charging the card or verifying the address. Choosing next day air service does not guarantee next day delivery from the order date, but from the date of shipment. Silent Builds reserves the right to delay any order for any reason at any time after receiving it.

Shipping Delays

Once a product has been shipped, it is the responsibility of the shipper/courier to deliver it. We are unable to halt the shipment once it has been sent. In the event that the package is lost, the shipper/courier will initiate a trace on the package. It typically takes 3 days for air packages and 7 business days for ground packages to be traced. We are unable to ship replacement packages until the shipper/courier confirms that the package is lost or will not be delivered to its intended destination and reimburses us. Without confirmation from the shipper/courier, we are unable to confirm if you will receive two shipments if we ship another one. Another potential delay can occur if there is no one available to sign for the package, as signatures are typically required for every package we ship. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or no available signature, you will be charged again for it to be shipped a second time.

Refused Shipments

If a customer refuses delivery on any product shipped by Silent Builds, they will be subject to fees, including a 15% restocking fee for computer systems. Additionally, the customer will not be reimbursed for the cost of shipping the package to them or returning it to Silent Builds.

Order Acceptance Policy

The receipt of an electronic or phone order confirmation from you does not indicate our acceptance of your order. Silent Builds reserves the right to accept or decline your order at any time after receipt, for any reason.


Warranty Service

Silent Builds will cover the cost of shipping back and forth for any order within the 48 contiguous United States, and will replace any parts within the first 30 days of receiving your computer system.  Silent Builds will only be responsible for covering shipping costs, either fully or partially, for replacement computer systems or parts. After 30 days, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs for returning the computer for warranty service. After 1 year, the customer will be responsible for round trip shipping and Silent Builds will still honor warranty service. The warranty will be void if the computer is defective due to physical damage, overclocking, or from any modifications made to critical components such as the motherboard, processor, CPU cooler, case, or power supply. If the original product is out of stock, Silent Builds may use similar products or similar to new products for all repairs to computer systems orders. If you would like to request a specific product for your order and do not want a substitution, please email and include that on the return package.


To receive a refund for your computer, you must request it within the first 30 days of receiving the computer. Computers owned for more than 30 days are not eligible for a refund. Refunds will only be issued for the purchase amount and do not include shipping costs. A 20% restocking fee will be applied unless the computer has defective hardware and it is verified by Silent Builds or a third-party company contracted by Silent Builds that the stability or performance issues are caused by the hardware and not by the software. Damage caused during shipping is not covered by this policy and will incur a 20% restocking fee if the customer requests a full refund. However, computers with shipping damage are eligible for free return shipping for repair by Silent Builds within the first 30 days. Custom work on the computer, such as artwork, will also incur a 20% restocking fee. Special ordered components not listed on Silent Build’s website will incur a 25% restocking fee regardless of computer defects. Unopened peripherals can only be returned within 30 days, peripheral repairs after 30 days will need to be processed with the original manufacturer. All return shipments must be sent in their original packaging, include all accessories, manuals, and have a tracking number and be insured for the full value of the computer. Silent Builds will not refund shipping costs and will not pay for returning packages. Before making any return, back up all software and data and remove any personal information, confidential information or private content which you do not want viewed or used by any third party. Silent Builds is not liable for lost data or misuse of data on computers that are returned for any reason. All sales on software items are final and opened accessories will not be refunded.
